General CME Requirement for Alaska-Licensed Physicians
“A physician, osteopath, or podiatrist seeking renewal of a license shall obtain (1) an average of 25 credit hours of continuing medical education during each year of the previous license period.”
Pain Management Requirements
“At least two of the total hours required to qualify for renewal must be education in pain management and opioid use and addiction, unless the licensee provides a certification under 12 AAC 40.220 that the licensee does not currently hold a valid federal Drug Enforcement Administration registration number.”
